Baghdad Athletic City’s design is chosen as the best design in the latest edition of Architecture and Construction Magazine. Baghdad Athletic City’s contract was awarded to Boland Payeh Co. as a turn-key contract in 2011. This project consists of a 60,000 capacity stadium, one small stadium with 2,000 seats and three training fields with 500 seats, a 4 star hotel with covered swimming pool and conceptual studies and landscaping for future projects such as Olympic-size swimming pool, wrestling center and rally track.
Feasibility studies and design of all stages of project from concept to creation is done by Tarh-Tosee Boland Payeh Consulting Engineers (TTBP), subsidiary of Boland Payeh Holding. The main challenge of this project is design of the main stadium in a way that it becomes approved as a world cup venue.
